Charlene R. Johnson is an Esoteric Astrologer and Certified Archetypal Consultant based in Central Florida. A life-long student of astrology even as she wore many different career hats including the thoroughbred race world and authoring books about that industry in Florida, a career as teacher and
trainer in the Florida Park Service, a much published writer and editor, she turned a hobby into a career after meeting Dr. Douglas Baker and sensing the magnitude and importance of the Esoteric Sciences. She started SkyDance Astrology in the auspicious year of 2000 and has been working with
clients and students from all over the world ever since. Currently living in central Florida, she continues to expand her vision of all that the metaphysical sciences can bring to the world. She contributes an esoteric astrology column to the Questa del Rio News in New Mexico and she
collaborates with other Claregate College (Dr. Douglas Baker) graduates worldwide, expanding her vision of the metaphysical sciences’ potential to enrich the world.
Alan Boxall is a seasoned professional astrologer and company director with a diverse background spanning several industries. Born in a small village in the south of England, Alan’s journey has taken him from working in farming, construction to becoming a photo finish operator in horse racing to thriving in video production as a cameraman and editor. His deep interest in astrology blossomed under the mentorship of Dr. Douglas Baker at Claregate College in England, where he studied and honed his skills accompanying Dr Baker on numerous lecture tours. Alan’s passion for astrology eventually became his profession, allowing him to travel across Europe and the United States. Alan’s career is a testament to his ability to evolve, adapt, and pursue his interests with unwavering dedication. Whether working behind the camera or analyzing a horoscope, his unique blend of skills and experiences has shaped a fascinating and multifaceted life.
Why did we get involved in astrology in the first place?
“I (Charlene) discovered astrology in my 20s when I was so shy I had no friends and couldn’t talk with people. I knew I needed to change myself and began seeking self-help books at a time when there were very few. I found a basic astrology book, taught myself how to cast charts and they were my first clue to the fact that other people think, perceive and understand their world in different ways from me, and more importantly, that they were meant to! As I began reaching out and struggling to communicate with other people, astrology became my constant companion; it gave me clues on how to interact with people.
“Then, in the early 90s as the Universe would have it, I was introduced to Dr. Douglas Baker and esoteric astrology. It was like a missing puzzle piece and I knew instantly that my life would never be the same. After studying under him for many years and at his encouragement, I hung my shingle, SkyDance Astrology, in 2000 and have been a professional esoteric astrologer ever since, conducting readings and lectures, written reports, teaching classes and offering counseling during troubling times.”
“My journey (Alan) into astrology started when I was very young listening to my mother talking to her friends about “Star Signs”. In my teens I was given several books on the subject by an older friend and I taught myself how to cast a horoscope. In the 1980’s I met Dr Douglas Baker and joined his group at Claregate College, London. There I was introduced to Esoteric Astrology and I knew instantly that was my “path” and I have studied & taught the subject ever since.”
